Bradford on Avon is a fantastic town nestling in the heart of the Avon Valley within a stone's throw of Bath - a World Heritage City!The Kennet & Avon Canal stretches across south west England from Bristol to Reading and was fully restored in the 1990s and features some of Britain's most spectacular waterway features.Cruising west from Bradford on Avon the canal clings to the side of the Avon Valley passing two splendid aqueducts and a unique restored water pump. At Bath the canal descends through one of the country's deepest locks to offer the world famous view of Pulteney Bridge and the waterfalls which you can moor close to! If sightseeing isn't your thing choose to cruise down the tranquil River Avon and right into Bristol's Floating Harbour in the centre of the city. This is a fascinating place with the famous little yellow ferries bustling around the magnificent SS Great Britain in its dock in the Harbour and not far away Telford's engineering masterpiece - the famous Clifton Suspension Bridge.
